Significant Landmarks of Laos

Counted as the top ten countries for visiting in Southeast Asia, Laos has an important place. Situated along with Mekong River and famous for its top mountains and French architecture as well as Buddhist monasteries, beautiful capital Vientiane and a major monument named Luang Prabang, which is also known for its Namkhan Eco farm, and admirable art and craft of their night markets and shops. Laos seems to be a precious treasure of Southeast Asia. Once a time Laos has been included in a forgotten country, nobody knows about the area much, but today the situation has been changed and people love to visit in Laos and spend their holidays with the finest and pure environment.

The hike was beyond our expectations in – beautiful nature, excellent food, challenging route (have comfortable hiking shoes, rain jackets, mosquito spray with deet and waterproof clothes)

Laos has many significant Landmarks available that are still standing like a rock and telling their story to each visitor. These iconic landmarks are not only important for Laos but also dominant for Southeast Asia as well as the whole world, because the country has faced many worst effects of wars and revolution.

Luang Prabang:-

Luang Prabang is an important city in Laos, which is located in Northside of Laos. This ancient city has many significant landmarks available which increase the beauty of Laos and make it a more visited the site of Southeast Asia than others.

Kuang Si Falls:

Kuang Si waterfalls are said to be the most beautiful place of Laos as well as the world. Kuang Si waterfall is located in Luang Prabang; this breathtaking waterfall is situated 30 km away from Luang Prabang. The waterfall has three water levels in balanced steps. The main part of the waterfall is 60 meters high, and others are little less than this.

Namkhan Eco farm:

Namkhan eco-farm is 5 km away from Luang Prabang. The eco-farm is famous for its organic farming techniques and Permaculture Designing. You do not miss to visit this eco-farm.

The Royal Place:

The Royal Place is a national museum of Luang Prabang, Laos. If you are religious then must visit here to see the significant images and sculpture of Lord Buddha.

Pha That Luang:-

Pha That Luang is the most prominent area of Laos, and consider as an important landmark of Laos country. PHA That Luang included several Buddhist temples and statues. The place has faced war effects so you can see ruin structure here. Pha That Luang is stated in Vientiane, and this is one of the most visited places of Laos.

Mount Phousi:-

Mount Phousi is a favorite tourist destination especially for those who want to do some adventure in the mountains. The area is said to be a major landmark of Laos, as well as the most visited place of Luang Prabang. If you want to do hiking, and mountain biking then you must choose Mount Phousi for that.

Wat Xieng Thong:-

This is one of the popular and significant landmarks of Laos, this is said to be a Buddhist temple which is located in Luang Prabang city. Luang Prabang added to the UNESCO world heritage site, so this fact makes it more significant from the insight of tourism. The beautiful views of the outside of Wat Xieng Thong, you just need to see by yourself once.

Mekong River:-

Mekong River is the largest river in Laos as well as Indo-china. Mekong River is very important to the place of Laos, as well as the River’s land, which is highly fertile which is necessary for agriculture. Though, Laos is famous for its Laotian organic food, so the Mekong has a significant role in that such production. Also, you can enjoy the traditional rituals and floating market of the Mekong River.
